Soha Ali Khan, Gul Panag hunts 7 signs of ageing

Young women of the world, hear this. Your skin can begin ageing from as early as 25. And its not just about lines and wrinkles appearing on the face. You will be amazed to know that there are seven signs of ageing. These include fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, uneven skin tone, the appearance of pores, age spots, dull skin, and dryness.
It is true, age catches up with everybody; but in an exciting experiment that had them discovering skin science at Olays London Innovation Centre (LINC), Bollywoods beautiful actresses Soha Ali Khan, Gul Panag and Tisca Chopra learned how to fight the seven signs.
In one voice, their skins now glowing healthily, the actresses said, Olay Total Effects helps you stay young and beautiful for longer. To Soha, the trip was a fantastic and educational revelation, she learned that her dry skin and pigmentation were signs of ageing.
After exploring their research centres, meeting their doctors of beauty, I feel confident in Olays beauty scientific foundations and believe it is truly the international superstar of skin care, she said. Since returning home, the young actress has been using the product religiously twice a day. I intend to recommend it to all friends… but not to competing peers in the film industry, she giggled.
Gul, who has been using the product off and on, was amazed at the number of PhD doctors working on beauty at the LINC. But after being introduced to the products benefits and becoming wise to what she is up against, the former Miss India said her skin is already feeling better. I commend the efforts they are putting in to bring world class, cutting edge science and technology to skin care. I like the fact that they are going about it in a manner so as to make it accessible to the masses. Its this democratisation which sets the brand above and apart from the rest.
Tisca, also a regular user of Olay, said she saw the difference in her skin and its texture at the end of their visit. Its no longer a matter of convenience, that I dont have to carry so many products, this is truly the best thing for my skin, said the actress, whos London experience included informal exchanges about the skin care routines of other actors and was a great learning experience, apart from being a real treat in terms of meetings and interactions with hair and makeup experts led by the affable Dr Colin DSilva, Olay skin scientist. What you and I have only heard about, I finally saw, said Tisca excitedly.

Fox News uses Nazi propaganda to defend torture OK to Pull Out Fingernails And Peel Skin Off

Glenn Beck Defends Wanting To Pull Out Fingernails And Peel Skin Off With A Cheese Grater. OReilly uses Nazi propaganda to vigorously defend torture, attacks President and Churchill.
Following the release of Bush-era memos by the Obama Administration, Charles Krauthammer, a Fox News contributor, admits that waterboarding is considered torture, but defends its use. Other Fox News personalities think that releasing the documents will protect us, put our national security in jeopardy and will hurt our troops.
Unfortunately, for Fox News, terrorist interrogators disagree with all of those umptions. In fact, one interrogator claims that a high number of our soldiers injured, or killed, are as a result of the interrogation methods approved by the Bush Administration.
Never mind the “waterboarding isn’t torture” meme. Fox News host Glenn Beck wants to torture, period. Beck trotted out his Jack Bauer fantasy again yesterday (5/1/09) in order to defend his support for what can only be described as torture. Putting forth a hypothetical scenario in which New York City was about to be vaporized, Beck said about his hypothetical suspect, We can pull his fingernails out, we can peel his skin off with a cheese grater. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
The discussion was part of another of Beck’s special 9/12 shows. This one had a studio audience. Beck’s 9 principles and 12 values were self-importantly written on the wall but the show was mostly about talking up the tax day tea parties and talking down the media coverage of it. A little more than halfway through, Beck maneuvered the talk away from taxes, the stimulus plan, etc. into a defense of his views on torture.
Fox News’ Judge Andrew Napolitano was on hand. He spoke up at the request of one of the few audience members against the torture. The Constitution applies to all persons, Napolitano explained, not just Americans and not just those who are our friends.
We have been through a dark and painful chapter in our history, President Obama said in a statement on the memos. The United States is a nation of lawsthat is why we have taken steps to ensure that the actions described within [the memos] never take place again.”As if on cue, Fox News hosts and personalities attacked Obama for releasing the memos while at the same time, defended the use of torture. Its not a dark chapter in our history. Its a successful one, Charles Krauthammer proclaimed. Conceding that waterboarding is torture, Krauthammer said that it should be used anyway in the so-called ticking time-bomb scenario and against high-level al-Qaeda. Many of his Fox colleagues have since piled on:BILL KRISTOL: This is a pander to the left. I think its really pathetic for an American president to do that, and to disavow, in effect, the good faith efforts of a previous administration to protect us in ways that I think were entirely appropriate. MEGYN KELLY: Will the release of these documents hurt our troops on the ground now, or could they put our national security in jeopardy? GRETCHEN CARLSON: You dont go into these techniques just willy-nilly.
The so-called ticking time-bomb scenario Krauthammer cites is a canard. In fact, one former FBI agent who has interrogated terrorists said it has never happened. Its a red herring, he said. In the real world it doesnt happen. And torture doesnt protect anyone, as Kristol claimed. In fact, it has been directly linked to increased casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan, as the interrogator who got Abu Musab al-Zarqawi noted:Its no exaggeration to say that at least half of our losses and casualties in that country have come at the hands of foreigners who joined the fray because of our program of detainee abuse. The number of U.S. soldiers who have died because of our torture policy will never be definitively known, but it is fair to say that it is close to the number of lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001.Moreover, torture doesnt work. The Washington Post reported that not a single significant plot was foiled as a result of the torture of Abu Zubaydah and that any useful information he had was obtained before waterboarding was introduced. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, another detainee known to have been waterboarded, produced no actionable intelligence, according to a former CIA official.

Tanzanian albinos targeted for their body parts

Albinos in Dodoma in Tanzania are being targeted by criminals thanks to a burgeoning trade in their body parts. The albinos, who suffer from a lack of skin pigmentation, are believed by witch doctors to hold magical powers which makes their body parts valuable for use in medicine.
A severed arm or leg from an albino can reportedly fetch in the region of £1000, and while the law has changed to punish those involved in the attacks with the death penalty, the risk is still great enough that many albino children live in refuges to ensure their safety.
